Day Field is the picturesque home to Randolph-Macon’s football and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, and is used for intramural competition. A video board, brick walkways, and a turf field surrounded by residence halls and stands create a great venue for both NCAA Division III and recreational competition.

RMC’s most notable athletic tradition is “The Game” against Hampden-Sydney College, also known as the “Oldest Small College Rivalry in the South.” The first football game between the two teams was played in 1893, a 12-6 RMC victory - winning is a tradition we like to continue today!

Yellow Jacket fans are proud and passionate, with tailgating before every football game in the adjacent parking lot. RMC students can attend all regular season athletic events free of charge as they cheer on the Yellow Jackets to victory.
