The Center for the Performing Arts, renovated and expanded in l 2021, serves as a hub for RMC’s theatre, choir, orchestra, and show choir programs, as well as majors in music and theatre The building encompasses the original Blackwell Auditorium, built in 1952, now restored to its full size, allowing for larger and grander performances. In addition to RMC productions, the space hosts cultural arts events throughout the year, including Richmond Symphony Orchestra concerts.

The Cobb-Kesler Theater includes a state-of-the-art control booth, a tension grid, and seating for 145 patrons.

The Haun Rehearsal Room provides a dedicated practice space for RMC’s orchestra and choir programs. This spacious room and others in the Center for the Performing Arts were specially designed by an acoustician, producing the highest quality sound experience.

The remainder of the building includes faculty offices, a drama classroom, green room, costume shop, dye room, laundry facility, and scene shop.
